Imran’s full name is Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi. Imran Khan Biography (Pakistan) – Imran Khan was born on 5 October 1952 in Lahore, Pakistan. His father’s name was Ikarmullah Khan Niazi and mother’s name was Shaukat Khanum. They had 5 children. Imran was the only brother among four sisters. He is the Prime Minister of Pakistan (2021). He became the 29th Prime Minister of Pakistan. And is a retired (former cricket player) cricketer from Pakistan. Imran Khan played for the Pakistani cricket team from 1971 to 1992. And after his retirement in cricket, he got into politics. In 1954, he established the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Lahore.

Imran Marriage and Family

Imran has done three marriages. Divorced two of his wives, and now lives with a third. Imran’s first wife was Jemima Goldsmith. Jemima converted to Islam after marriage and left her studies at Bristol University to live with Imran’s family in Lahore. Imran and Jemima had two sons. The elder son was Suleiman and the younger son was Qasim. Jemima decided to complete her incomplete studies at the University of Bristol and she also did her further studies in London itself. For some reason, Jemima and Imran got divorced in 2004.

Imran’s second wife was Reham Khan. She was a former BBC journalist. She was at this time a mother of three children and divorced. She left England and came to live in Pakistan. Reham did 2-3 interviews of Imran. During this time Imran proposed marriage and both got married in 2015. Both of them could not carry on their relationship and within a few months both of them got divorced.

Imran’s third wife is Bushra Maneka. Bushra was also the mother of 5 children and divorced. She (Imran Khan Third Wife) is popularly known as Bushra Biwi. She was a Pakistani spiritual leader and advisor to Imran.

Imran’s cricket career

Imran started his cricketing journey at the age of 16. Then he started playing first-class cricket. In the early 1970s, he played for the home teams Lahore B, Lahore Greens and then finally started playing for Lahore also from 1970 onwards. Imran played in the Pakistan cricket team and played his first test on 3 June 1971 against England and then on 7 February 1992 against Sri Lanka. In 1992, the Pakistan team became the world champion of cricket under the captaincy of Imran Khan. Imran Khan retired from cricket in 1994.

Imran’s education

Imran Khan received his early schooling at the Cathlete School in Lahore and an Aitchison College. Imran was then sent to England by his father (Ikarmullah Khan Niazi) to study at the Royal Grammar School, Worcester. Imran had gained his good popularity in England in the game of cricket. Imran Khan has completed his further studies at Caballe College Oxford with political science, philosophy and economics.

political life

Imran entered politics after retiring from the cricket world. In 1996, Imran Khan, in view of the scattered politics of Pakistan, founded his own political party named Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on 25 April 1996 with the slogan of justice, humanity and self-respect. He struggled a lot in his political journey. He saw good and bad days in politics for almost 22 years and his party fought many elections. He also lost in many elections and during this time he had to go to jail. After so much struggle, in the year 2018, Imran’s political party came forward as the largest party and his own government was formed in Pakistan. He was the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Awards and honors

• In 1952, he was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Pakistan’s prestigious civilian award.
• Received the President’s Pride of Performance Award in 1983.
• On 7 December 2005, he was appointed the fifth Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bedford.
• In 1985 and 1976, Khan was honored with The Cricket 100 Society Weatherall Award.
• On 8 July 2004, Khan was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2004 Asian Jewel Awards in London.
• He was awarded the Humanitarian Award at the Asian Games Awards in Kuvalampur on 13 December 2007 for building the first cancer hospital in Pakistan.
