Shahbaz Sharif became the 31rd Prime Minister of Pakistan at present (April 2022), Shahbaz Sharif Biography Shahbaz Sharif has been a member of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and is the brother of Nawaz Sharif (former Pakistan Prime Minister).  Shahbaz was born in Lahore. Shahbaz Sharif Childhood and Birth

Shahbaz was born into a business Kashmiri family on 23 September 1951 in Lahore, the capital of the Punjab province of Pakistan.  His family came from Kashmir for business and started living in Amritsar, but after partition, Shahbaz’s parents had moved from Amritsar to Lahore. Thus Shahbaz’s childhood was spent in Lahore.Sharif was a business, he often used to come to Anantnag in Kashmir for business work, later Shahbaz’s family settled in Amritsar. His mother Shamim Akhtar was a resident of Pulwama.

Shahbaz early education was done in a school in Lahore. Shahbaz did his graduation from Bachelor of Arts (B.A) from a government university Lahore.  Shahbaz took over his family business after completing his graduation and was made the President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1985.

 Shahbaz political journey started in the 80s.  For the first time in the year 1988, Shahbaz became a candidate for the election of Lahore Assembly and he won this election but in the year 1990 the assembly was dissolved.  For the second time in the year 1990, Shahbaz contested elections in Punjab province and won it too.  Then Shahbaz won the National Assembly election in the year 1993, but in the same year the National Assembly was destroyed and Shahbaz membership went away.  Again in 1993, he won the Lahore assembly election and the National Assembly election, but this time Shahbaz himself left the assembly seat.  Shahbaz was the Chief Minister of Punjab province for three times.  Again in the year 1997, Shahbaz was a candidate in the elections of Punjab province, this time he contested on the ticket of PML-N and became the Chief Minister of Punjab province for the first time in 1997 February.  But due to the coup in 1999, Shahbaz chief ministers was snatched away.  After being stripped of the chief minister’s post, Shahbaz went abroad with his family.  Then came back to Pakistan in the year 2007.  Shahbaz did not give up and he became the Chief Minister for the second time. He stood for the post and won and in June 2008, Shahbaz took over as the Chief Minister of Punjab province for the second time.  In the 2013 elections, Shahbaz took over as the Chief Minister of Punjab province for the third time.

In the year 2018 also, Shahbaz was chosen as (PML-N) the Prime Ministerial candidate in the Pakistan General Election, but due to the overthrow of power, Imran Khan’s (PTI) party won in this election.Shahbaz Sharif has been elected as the leader of the PTI opposition.  But in the current year 2022, on the night of 9,10 April, Imran Khan was defeated in the voting on the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan (former Pakistan Prime Minister), MP Shehbaz Sharif won by getting 174 votes in April 2022. On April 11, 2022 Shahbaz took oath as the 31rd Prime Minister of Pakistan and became the 31rd Prime Minister of Pakistan.
